Our guaranteed Board and Train program (also known as In-Board Training) is designed to create "turnkey" dogs. Drop your dog off, come back in a few weeks and pick up a polite and obedient companion.
The owner of Canine College, Gene Lonsway, will personally care for and train your dog. Lonsway has been a professional dog trainer for over 25 years. He will make sure your dog's stay is comfortable, fun, and productive.
During their stay, dogs learn all of the essential handling commands. While they're with us dogs also learn good manners.
Jumping on people, play-biting, indiscriminate chewing, and nuisance barking are just a few of the behaviors that we can eliminate.
Of course good manners also include good leash manners. This is a very important aspect of obedience training. All of our graduates learn to walk politely without pulling on the leash.
Another important aspect of good obedience training is balance. Some people think of In-Board Training as "boot camp" for dogs. Nothing could be further from the truth. Fun is as important as serious workouts. Daily play times are included for all of our canine guests.
To ensure that your dog will listen once he gets home we include three follow-up handling lessons for the owners.
